Take this one with a grain of salt. Brad Callen seems to have written this little book with the idea of selling his SEO software, SEO Elite. I don't object to that, I just wish he would make that a little clearer; I feel like I am being taken on a bit of a ride. What I do like is the methodical approach he takes to building page rank. He takes as an example a single keyword and shows how it is used by competitors to increase page rank, then he incorporates it into his own site. He is very specific about where he thinks you should place your keywords and what format (h1, h2, etc.) you should use. He talks about the way the google bots scan the page and I have no reason to think he's wrong, although you wonder how he finds this stuff out. He says that all you need is one link to a page rank 5 and you will be on Google within 24 hours. Maybe he is right. And his software, SEO Elite sounds great. I doubt it's as effective as he says (nothing this side of the grave could be!) but I'm sure if you took it and worked it diligently you would see an increase in your page rank. I wonder, however, if you wouldn't get the same increase just working diligently. Period. Still, at $47 Seo Elite is inexpensive and some of it's systems, like the one that displays your competitor's link's page rank could be useful.
